Fauconberg, Thomas Belasyse, Earl, 1627-1700

Thomas Belasyse was appointed ambassador extraordinary to Venice in 1669. On his return to England in 1672 he was named a privy councillor. Fauconberg was awarded his earldom by William of Orange in 1689. He died without heirs on December 31, 1700. From the description of Fauconberg papers related to his embassy to Italy, 1669-1673.
